Cincinnati unfortunately finds itself in a “perfect storm” of challenging driving conditions. The city is undeniably hilly, as the legacy of glacial paths has left us a jagged terrain of ridges, steep drop offs, and terraces. Add the city’s snowy, icy winters to that equation, and you find a city that can be treacherous to traverse in the winter months.

Compare this with, say, northern California drivers, who are notoriously fearful after a rainfall, or with the tailgating aggro-motorists of the Eastern seaboard. Cincinnatians’ Midwestern disposition tends to keep us level-headed in moments of adversity, and cautious when the surfaces are slick. We’re doing a great job against a particularly tough challenge.
