Can a Tree Service Observe Social Distancing Guidelines?

cutting trees for removalLike many small businesses, tree service and landscaping companies are having a difficult time staying afloat during the 2020 shelter-in-place. Work has reduced dramatically, and tree service companies all over the Midwest have been laying off employees and reducing their staffing.

Can a tree service company carry out the functions of its jobs while following the CDC’s guidelines for proper social distancing?

The answer is a resounding yes.

Our employees can remain masked throughout their shifts, no matter what that day’s job entails – pruning trees, maintaining lawns and gardens, removing trees, or anything else.

It is also possible for tree service employees to stay six feet or more away from one another.

The Rising Tide Lifts All Boats

By the same logic, the lower tide makes all the boats go down, too. People are working less, and hours are being cut across many industries. Unemployment is skyrocketing. As a result, fewer homeowners and business owners are able to afford landscaping services. Many regular clients can no longer pay for their monthly landscaping maintenance.

People still need landscaping services, where for their homes or for their commercial properties, but in many cases, it is simply too difficult to justify the expense.

We certainly understand these financial challenges, which are rippling across all industries and all types of employment.

As a small business in your community, we hope sincerely that you and your work are going well, and that your family is happy, healthy, and safe. No matter what the rest of 2020 brings, we are all in this together, and we all will come through this ordeal together.
